Why is the human race seem to get technologically advanced, making us feel more superior, but we are showing a great lack of positive morals and ethics our elders lived by in the past. Has the world really turned this much into hell?

Morals and ethics begin in the home, and when both parents are either working or absent kids receive less attention and discipline than they used to in previous generations.

What do morals and ethics have to do with engineering?

Please help ! I need this for tomorrow !

I mean if you dont have a good set of moral and ethical standards you would build houses, building etc and not care about any saftey precasions
you would use the cheapest materials and not keep in mind the integretiy of the building or the people that might occupy it
this has happened before especially in developing countries
which leads to buildings crashing prematurly and for no reason, and people dying..

also an engineer of lets say a nucleur bomb, or wepons etc they need to keep in mind morals and ethics too
hope that helps :)

If we were to limit government regulations and enforce ethics laws, would that benefit business and the consumer? How would it affect the employees?
Pat, I am just asking a question. I am looking for answers and clarification for an issue I know little about. This IS an answer forum. I am not a lawyer. Don’t act like a douche bag.

You;re talking about apples and oranges. We can both regulate the industry and enforce ethics laws or do neither, or selectively do both. When are government regulates something, it does so by enforcing laws, including those requiring ethical conduct.

Which ethical principles or ideals are the most useful to assess the ethics of factory farming? (For example, do farm animals possess a basic right not to live or die in agony? Why or why not?) Which facts about factory farms are the most important for making an ethical assessment?

Photojournalism is a type of journalism that depends on images to tell a story. It is not classical photography as the pictures taken are mostly or entirely related to a news story or event. They are not usually for entertainment or appreciation but more for conveyance of a news event.

These images have to be relevant to society, informative and should be able to convey what is happening in the world. The images should also possess an objective quality. It is very important that the photograph is relevant to the context of the story being reported.

The relevance of photojournalism in the news media

Photojournalism is an important aspect to the news media. For most people who read newspapers or watch the news, it is the photographs that summarize what has been written. This makes newspaper reading and news reporting much more effective as now one can relate the news to real life scenes and understand fully what it must be like to be in that actual place at that actual time. This applies especially for people who are not too fond of reading the newspaper or watching the news. For such people, it is the pictures that convey the news.

Photojournalists

It is not easy being a photojournalist. Very often photojournalists have to risk their lives to bring news back so that people can be kept informed about what is going on.

Through photographs they take, they are able to give information regarding events that have transpired in the world. We are offered a glimpse of different people, what they do, places and other things through the images. This makes us more aware of the society and its status.

How technology has changed photojournalism

Technology has greatly changed the face of photojournalism. Today, news can travel the entire globe in just a few minutes. With the advent of videophones, internet and terrific printing technology, photojournalism has become extremely popular.

This is the reason that photojournalists have the responsibility of bringing in photographs that are objective. The disadvantage of technological advancement is that now people can manipulate images. Ethics plays an important role here. Codes of ethics have been set up for addressing such issues. The code varies according to the country.

Photojournalism, as a profession, is a serious job and demands attention and respect. After all, it is the photographs accompanying the news that truly help us understand what is going on in the world. The profession of photojournalism requires a lot of patience, understanding and skill, and the photojournalists should be appreciated accordingly.

Im trying to write a research paper on buddhism and in my outline it says to introduce the concept of ethics and metaphysics. I have the definitions but im not really sure what it really means and how to introduce the concept

for ethics they have karma

metaphysics means after physics. you can talk about the soul. in reincarnation the soul goes to the other bodies in rebirth. the non-physical soul is limited by the physical body. for example if you came back as a frog your soul could only use the frog brain, frog eyes and so on. The soul could not think like a human does but would think like a frog does. whatever that entails.

Now with two sets of workers being terminated after advising on illegal activities, what will ACORN’s protocol for dealing with such needs be?

Will they retreat and defend, or will they straighten up and fly right?

I couldn’t mention ethics and ACORN without a chuckle, sorry.

You got to laugh, when the headquarters said this was abnormal and employees didn’t do this. I knew that have more footage from other locations and they now know it and are one tip toes.

ONe good thing is they will not be able to pad the census!!!!!

If you readjust the ethics, then no reason for them to exist, don’t you think? Ha, ha.

Have a great 2009!

Further more why are ethics a concern in the academic environment?

Critical thinking is purposeful and reflective judgment about what to believe or what to do in response to observations. Ethics the rules of conduct recognized in respect to a particular class of human actions or a particular group.

The relationship in both of these psychological terms is that they both relate in judging and observing things. In critical thinking you are judging the different types of observations, while in ethics you have this judged behavior to follow. This behavior is what is considered by society to be followed by everyone. Also, they can be similar in the observations because when you’re using critical thinking your observing thing in a complicating manner, Similarly, the observations with people that lack ethics is made due to societies rules or norms.

Well the reason ethics are concerned because then the school will be civilized and people can easily obtain knowledge without distractions.
